  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar, divided
  • 2¼ cups all-purpose flour, divided
  • 2 teaspoons lime zest, divided
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • ½ cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • ½ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 4 eggs
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
  2. In a medium bowl, stir together the melted butter, ½ cup sugar, 2 cups of flour, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13-inch pan. Bake until it becomes lightly browned, about 15 minutes.
  4. In another medium bowl, whisk together 1 teaspoon of lime zest, 1 teaspoon of lemon zest, the lemon and lime juice, eggs, the remaining ¼ cup flour, the remaining 1½ cups sugar, and a pinch of salt just until combined.
  5. Pour the lemon mixture over the baked crust and return to the oven and bake until the middle is firm, about 18 minutes.
  6. Allow to cool completely, then sprinkle the top of the bars with the powdered sugar and the remaining 1 teaspoon of lime zest.
  7. Cut into 12 bars, then serve.Moist Lemon-Lime Bars

Grilled Corn on the Cob with Chile and Lime

  • 4 cobs of fresh corn, shucked, trimming the end and leaving the stem intact
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ½ teaspoon lime zest
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  1. Preheat an outdoor grill or grill pan over high heat.
  2. Grill the corn, turning occasionally, until the kernels begin to char on all sides, about 15 minutes in total.
  3. Spread an even amount of butter on each cob of corn and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Sprinkle the cobs with an even amount of lime zest and juice, Parmesan, and cayenne.

Cilantro Lime Slaw

  • ½ head of green cabbage
  • 2 carrots
  • ½ red bell pepper
  • ⅓ cup of mayonnaise
  • 3 garlic gloves
  • ¼ cup cilantro
  • juice of 3 limes
  • salt and pepper

  1. Finely chop cabbage into bite-sized pieces, place into large bowl
  2. Peel skin from carrots then grate carrots into bowl
  3. Finely julianne red bell pepper, add to bowl
  4. Create dressing by blending together mayo, garlic, cilantro and lime juice until combined.
  5. Toss dressing with other ingredients, add salt and pepper to taste, serve chilled.Cilantro Lime Slaw


Watermelon Lime Frosty

makes 2 cups


  • 3 cups watermelon, should be cubed and frozen
  • 1 banana, ripe, peeled and frozen
  • 2 tbsps agave or maple syrup
  • juice and zest from 2 limes
  • 1/2 cup water




Make margaritas by adding 3-4 shots of silver tequila
